Our overall aim is to give you a newfound sense of confidence in your business, open your eyes to possibilities and offer design solutions that can easily be self-managed upon your project completion.
BEHIND THE BRAND
My name is AJ and I am based in Sydney, Australia. Born and raised in New Zealand, I have worked within the design industry for over 15 years, and hold a Diploma in Graphic Design and a Double Degree in Visual Arts and Media.
I created Salem Studios after I found that many small business owners I worked with had previously been taken advantage of by larger design corporations. They were stuck with branding that they didn’t know how to use and websites that they could not edit or maintain themselves. In turn, they weren’t able to connect with their ideal target market and their websites didn’t equate to conversions. They also lost confidence and drive to continue with their dream business, as it eventually would fall into the ‘too hard’ basket.
My design packages cater specifically to start-ups and entrepreneurs. I provide purpose-driven, customized design solutions that can easily be self-managed upon completion. Whether it’s creating an entirely new brand from scratch, creating a beautiful customer experience through a website, or rolling out a strong identity through social media and digital marketing – there is a package to suit everyone.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
The word ‘Salem’ can be translated in Arabic to mean ‘a state of harmony’ and in other cultures can be interpreted as ‘peace and completeness’. Here at Salem Studios we work to create harmony and a complete and cohesive look for your brand to clearly tell your story and embrace your target market in the best way possible.
OUR DIFFERENCE
The key to our work is that we really get to know your business and have a highly collaborative approach. Throughout the design process, you’ll be offered multiple mockups along the way to establish the perfect look and feel to assist you in reaching your business goals. There is no ‘one-design-fits-all’. Upon completion, you’ll also be provided with everything you need to self manage your business. Our branding package includes a full PDF of brand guidelines so that you can always ensure your logo, colours and style are used consistently across all mediums. For web packages, we provide a full folder of video tutorials so you’ll feel confident to be able to change text and images in the future while still maintaining a beautiful, purpose-driven site.
